The hardest part in this stage will come when you will have to walk up to Alto de los Castaños, that is located 500-metre high. Then you will have to walk to Grimaldo, where you will visit the Iglesia de Santa María church and where you can enjoy its wonderful gastronomy.
Recommendation Pilgrim
You should take with you all the time the needed stuff and specially water. This stage, with the exception of some section with no shadows during summertime, is not difficult for cyclists nor people with reduced mobility.

Itinerary
Km 0 – Inicio
You will start this stage through the hard shoulder of the national road, but a little bit after you will have to walk up through a path that will lead you to Cerro Garrote. While walking you will see the old Vía de la Plata. The you will walk through the slope of the Silleta mountain towards Cañaveral and through some paths very similar to the yesterday ones. Once you get to the path that will lead you to Cañaveral you will have three kilometres left, you can omit this stop and continue straight forward to Grimaldo. If you decide to go to the Puente de San Benito bridge you have to know that you will walk through the national road for some metres; the national road will lead you to Cañaveral. Once you get here you can visit its church devoted to Santa Marina or even its sanctuary devoted to Nuestra Señora del Cabezón. Then you will continue through the asphalted road to get to the Ermita de San Cristóbal hermitage and then you will finally get to Alto de los Castaños through the national road. Then you will leave the asphalted road and you will walk through a path that will lead you to a quarry. After a soft slope, you will enter a pine forest. From here, you will reach a paved road you can take in case you do not want to continue by the previous path. In case we go on by the paved path, when reaching the crossroad we must take the right, but if we choose the dirt road we will have to go on through a gate and pass under a bridge before reaching Grimaldo, final point of this stage.
