Vía de la Plata: Stage 3
Castilblanco de los Arroyos – Almadén de la Plata (28,8 km – 18 miles)
First you will walk through long roads and then you will have to walk up to the Parque de los Berrocales park. Finally you will have to walk up to Alto del Calvario. You will be walking through huge fields and meadows.
You will start today’s route through the Avenida Antonio Machado Avenue towards Almadén de la Plata to see the Iglesia del Divino Slavador church. Once you get there you will have to follow the yellow arrows to get to the national road. You will be walking through the national road the most part of the stage. After two kiloemtres you will cross two neighborhoods that belong to Castilblanco and then you will get to some fields full of cattle until get to another road. You will have to continue through this road for one kilometer until get to the Parque Natural los Berrocales park. You will walk through rural paths and also through forests and meadows. After walking for one hour you will have to turn left to cross a small stream and get to El Berrocal. You will continue through some paths to get to el Cerro del Calvario. Once you get to the top you will enjoy the amazing views You just have to walk down the mount to conclude today’s stage.

Remember.
You will be walking most part of the stage through the national road, so you should be very careful. If you are walking in the night you should wear a reflective vest so cars can see you.

Bear in mind
he most complicated part of this stage is walk up to Alto del Calvario. You should walk always with enough water because there are no services in between. This stage is easy for everyone.
