The most complicated thing in today’s stage is get to Pico Dueña where you will find the Cruz de Santiago cross. It is the highest point in the Way just after Seville. Then you will have to walk to the Arroyo Medigos stream and then continue towards San Pedro de Rozados the end of today’s stage.
You will start in fuenterroble de Salvatierra and you will have towalk through the road that goes to Casafranca. After walking one kilometer you will have to go through a path to the right to walk through farm fields full of cattle to get to the Arroyo de Navalcuervo stream after six kilometres. Then you will have to walk up through a path where you will find some holm oaks. A little bit after you will have to turn left and a little bit after to the right. A little bit after the way turns a little bit bigger, you will easily see the yellow arrows painted on rocks and also on the tree’s trunks. After approximately 10 kilometres from the very begging you will get to a crossing where you will have to continue straight forward to walk up to the next crossing where you will have to turn left. You will have to walk up to Pico de la Dueña where you will see a cross. The walking up will be easy and with no problems. After resting for a while you will have to continue your way, the route will lead you to a road. You will have to walk through it. You will see a meadow full of bulls to get to the Arroyo Mendigos stream and you will cross a field called Calzadilla de los Mendigos. You will have to continue then through the asphalted road for 4 kilometres approximately, until get to a signal that indicates the way to San Pedro de Rozados, to get there you just have to turn left and walk until get there. This small village of less than three hundred inhabitants, belongs to the so called Campo Charro, an area placed in Salamanca surroundings.
