Gastronomy

The town of Granja de Moreruela has gastronomic traditions very similar to the region of Tierra de Campos. First of all, it is worth mentioning the tremés or candeal wheat bread and the sheep’s milk cheeses. We can not forget the typical stews, lamb, roast lamb and pigeon or pigeon. In the local confectionery we can highlight the muffins, the “orejuelas”, the “tortas de chicharrón”, the “Marinas”, the “bollos de piñón”, the “rosquillas de palo” and the “almendras garrapiñadas” (sugared almonds).
