We offer a quality trip based on the value of our services, as well as the advice given by our specialists in the Way so you can enjoy this wonderful experience in no rush and unworried.

Transport to Sarria/Tui. We’ll gather together in Santiago de Compostela to meet each other and begin our adventure as a team, then we’ll walk towards the starting point for this stage.

Once we finish the Way, you’ll enjoy a guided tour around the Galician capital.

You’ll always walk in company.

Our guides are St Jame’s Way Official Guides, that means their are certified for guiding touristic tours all around Santiago. They will go with you all along the Way, they will explain all the secret details, every route’s history and they will even rest in the same accommodations. This has the following aim: To enjoy this experience to the fullest with knowledge and comfort.

They will also be concerned about the team’s pace to be balanced avoiding discourages in case somebody is slow due to the fatigue. Our guide will always support them, slowing the pace or looking for the assistance car to help them.

Starting Point

Arrival to Sarria and from here you could visit points of special interest, such as Magdalena Monastery Fortaleza’s Tower, or Saint Lazarus’s Chapel

Stage Sarria – Portomarín

(22,75 km) / (14 mi)

It is relevant to make breaks in emblematic sites such as St Domingo de Barbadelo Church decorated with Scallop Shells or even Nosa Señora dos Remedios sanctuary. Will arrive Portomarin after crossing wonderful landscapes and villages like Ferreiros.

Stage Portomarín – Palas de Rei

(25 km) / (15 mi)

You will wake up at Portomarin’s accommodation to start the day with energy and walk towards Palas de Rei. Enjoy every km / mile and behold the landscapes around the Way to keep it in your memory.

Stage Palas de Rei – Arzúa

(29 km) / 18 mi

Following the Way you’ll arrive Melide where you must try the most famous local dish: octopus This dish is considered as a “Spanish Cuisine Heritage”. After crossing some emblematic sites such as Boente village, you’ll finally reach Arzúa.

Stage Arzúa – O Pedrouzo

(19,1 km) / (11,8 mi)

You’ll wake up in an Accommodation in Arzúa and will start walking towards O Pedrouzo. Arriving O Pedrouzo, you can visit different local points of attraction such us Saint Eulalia de Arca Church.

Stage O Pedrouzo – Santiago de Compostela

(20 km) / (12,4 mi)

This time you’ll awake in O Pedrouzo accommodation and will hike towards Santiago de Compostela. Very soon you could contemplate the Cathedral Towers feeling the usual excitement Enjoy the last km / miles

Arrival and accommodation

Starting Point

On your arrival to Tui you could visit some interesting local spots. You will enjoy the wide local gastronomy.

Stage Tui – Redondela

(29 km) / 18 mi

Start your experience in The St Jame’s Way through the Portuguese Way. In this occasion, as we start in the nearby Tui, we’ll avoid the border between the two countries in the Iberian Peninsula (Spain and Portugal), so we can enjoy the fullest the experience of discovering the Galician territory.

Stage Redondela – Pontevedra

(19 km) / (11.8 mi)

In this Stage you must try as many local dishes as you can. Don’t you worry with the route as will be gentle to the pilgrim. You can exploit any moment to enjoy the amazing Galician’s gastronomy.

Stage Pontevedra – Caldas de Reis

(19 km) / (11.8 mi)

Before resuming the route towards Caldas de Reis, you may enjoy the wonderful Pontevedra. Its Old Town has an atmosphere difficult to find in any other site along The St Jame’s Way.

Stage Caldas de Reis – Padrón

(17 km) / (10,5 mi)

In this Stage we will head a very popular village , well-know both inside and outside the Galician’s region. If you don’t know why, the reason are the peppers. The peculiarity about this small delicatessen is that you never know when you pick a spicy one.

Stage Padrón – Santiago de Compostela

(22 km) / (13,6 mi)

After having the breakfast at Padrón’s Accommodation, you’ll face the last stage in The Portuguese Way with end point in Santiago de Compostela. This stage is the longest all along this experience. It’s 22 km (13,6 mi) long and low difficulty.
