The gastronomy of Grandas de Salime stands out for the quality and flavor of the local meats, such as beef steak, kid, red meat, maragata, trout, conger eels and octopus. In addition, special mention should be made of the cheeses, especially the Oscos cheese. The most relevant recipes of the area are the broths, the Asturian pot, the uños with beans and the cachola with cachelos. Desserts include mantecadas, roscones, maravillas, flans and brazos de gitano. Finally, do not forget to try a good local wine and homemade orujo liqueur.
