Murallas
The municipality of Tui today still retains traces of two walls, erected at the time in order to defend the town from possible attacks. One of them was built in medieval times, between the twelfth and thirteenth centuries, with different access gates of which only the Porta da Pia is preserved due to the various battles of the war with Portugal.
After these events there was the need to build a second wall, so during the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries a new, larger and safer walled enclosure was built.

Catedral Santa María
The Cathedral of Santa Maria was built between 1120 and 1225 by Bishop Egea, with a Romanesque style, however, later were added Gothic elements such as the top of the portico, considered the first Gothic work that was made in the Iberian Peninsula.
Once inside, the visitor can admire the Chapel of the Sacrament, the Main Chapel, the Chapel of San Telmo, the choir (which is one of the most remarkable elements of the cathedral), the museum (formerly the chapel of Santa Catalina), the archive, the organ and the cloister.
The temple sits in the highest area of the town next to a set with a certain aspect of Fortress thanks to being composed of defensive towers, passageways and passages.
