What to see
Puente de Rubiães
The Rubiães Bridge stands on the important Roman road that connected Braga with Astorga. This construction, made of ashlar, consists of three semicircular arches, with the one in the center being the largest one.

Iglesia de São Pedro de Rubiães
In the Church of São Pedro de Rubiães, the chapel, the side walls and the portico are very well differentiated. This last element is particularly curious, as it is formed by three concentric arches linked together. The capitals are decorated with grotesque figures. On the left, the bodies of two animals converge in a single head. On the right, two lion-like animals fight each other in what could be an allegory of good and evil. In the atrium, an image of the Roman military road that linked Braga to Astorga can be seen.
