What to see
Puente Medieval
This medieval bridge spans the waters of the Tambre River in the town of Sigüeiro, in the municipality of Oroso. Its origins date back to the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries, being built mostly in ashlar and having a total of six spans. However, although it dates back to medieval times, it underwent a major remodeling in the 20th century and was recently widened using strong concrete beams so that it could support the weight of the intense traffic in the area.
As a curiosity, on its stones took place a serious altercation between two powerful characters of medieval times: Gómez Pérez das Mariñas and Álvaro Pérez de Moscoso.
