You will leave Coimbra walking for a while next to the Mondego river, walking slow but steady to get to Mealhada that is located approximately 20 kilometers from the beginning of today’s stag. This city has its origins in the Roman Empire.

Km 0 – Inicio
You will leave Coimbra from the Igreja de Santiago church next to the Praça do Comercio or Praça Velha square leaving the city through Avelino Veiga and Largo Paço do Conde streets. You will have to walk always straightforward to get to the Mondego river.
Once you get to a roundabout you will have to continue straight forward and then turn right through a road that will lead you to Adémia de Baixo. You will have to go through a road called Fornos and go to Cioga do Monte to get to Trouxemil. You will get to this village through the street Almas and then you will have to turn left once you see a stone cross to get to Largo 5 de Outubro. At the end you will have to turn left and walk through Rua da Sobreira, Rua das Chãs and Rua Sagento Mor streets. A few meters after you will find the Igreja de São José church. Then you will continue through the national road to get to Santa Luzia. You will continue through the asphalt to cross the road to get to Carqueijo and return again to the national road. Then you will have to cross the road and continue to Vale do Espinheiro, to Lendiosa crossing the train rails.
Just after entering in the village you will have to turn right through the Rua de Arroncheta street and you will find an old chapel, here you will have to turn right again through Rua de Arruvia street to get to Melhada. Before getting to a bridge you will have to turn left among fields, you will have to cross a bridge called Ribeira da Lendiosa before getting to the end of today’s stage.
