This stage is similar to yesterday’s stage. You will continue going through paths among cereal fields, with no trees to rest or get out if the rain and the cold between the 20 kilometres that separate Hornillos del Camino from Castrojeriz.
Recommendation Pilgrim
People with reduced mobility are not able to do this stage up to San Antón, after this place they can go through the road to Castrojeriz. Cyclists must be careful on that road due to the narrowness of it. With the exception of this section, the rest of the stage shouldn’t show any problem.

Itinerary
Km 0 – Inicio
You will leave Hornillos del Camino among huge paths where the one and only shade is your backpack. After five kilometers the Cruz de Santiago cross will encourage you to get to San Bol. If you continue you will ascend through a path and you will cross a road to get again to a path that will lead you to Hontanas. After a ‘pit-stop’ you will leave this village through its Calle Mayor street.
You should cross a road to get to the path in the right side; you will continue through this path for approximately four kilometers until get to another asphalted road. You have to enter in this road very carefully. A little bit forward it is located the Monasterio de San Antón monastery; this monastery is today a private hostel and is located in Castrojeriz. At the beginning, this convent was a palace of Peter of Castile.
You will return to the road to continue to Castrojeriz a perfect place to conclude today’s stage, after visiting the Iglesias de San Esteban and San Juan churches.
