About this stage
Before leaving Briviesca, and after visiting the church of Santa Clara, it is almost obligatory to visit the church of San Martín, built at the beginning of the 14th century. Finally, we can head towards the last stage of the Basque Way.
Recommendation Pilgrim
Another short and practically flat stage throughout its route, although it is not as quiet as the previous ones as it passes close to major roads, which is why pilgrims should take extreme care with traffic.

Km 0 ‧ Briviesca
We start in the Plaza Mayor, go along the Calle Mayor, take the turning, leaving the church of Santa María on the left, to continue straight on and then cross the river Oca and continue along the riverbank. We take a secondary road parallel to the CL-632 towards Burgos.
Once we have to cross the AP-1, we must plan the route so that it coincides with the train tracks on the left. Follow the same direction for a while until you reach Castil de Peones.
At this point we don’t have to enter the village, but we can cross the Valdehaya stream over a bridge to take the exit. Later, we will have to cross the Cerratón river to get back parallel to the train tracks, although later we will have to cross them over a bridge that connects with another bridge further on, the latter allowing us to pass over the AP-1 and thus be able to head towards Revillagodos.
Turning left, the road takes us back to the AP-1, but this time we do not cross it, but follow the road to Quintanavides. Once we leave this town we take the road that goes down to the AP-1, again, we do not cross it.
Km 19,2 ‧ Monasterio de Rodilla
We continue to the N-I and follow it, which is located on our right until we reach a campsite, at which point we take a detour to the right to pass over the road. If we continue on, we will end up at Monasterio de Rodilla, the end of this stage.
