En esta etapa tendremos la oportunidad de ver apreciar una de las mejores vistas hacia la ría de Vigo ya que caminaremos por un trayecto sobre la Senda da Traída das Augas. Además, esta es la última etapa antes de adentrarnos en la etapa nº22 (Redondela – Pontevedra) del Camino Portugués principal, que abandonamos muchos kilómetros atrás en la localidad de Oporto.

La única “preocupación” que os puede asolar en esta última etapa del Camino Portugués por la Costa, es encontrar las flechas amarillas que nos indican el Camino a Santiago, pero no te preocupes, sigue la Rúa Urzaiz y tras el mercado Calvario en la cuarta calle a la izquierda las encontrarás.

Km 0.0 ‧ Vigo
We leave Vigo along one of its main arteries, Calle Urzaiz. After crossing it in ascending
direction, we will pass the Plaza de Fernando el Católico, the Av. Alcalde Gregorio
Espino and we will reach the corner of Urzaiz with the Rúa de Toledo, where we will meet
again the yellow arrows after finishing the previous journey following green arrows as
something exceptional in our trip.
We pass next to the Church of Los Picos following Toledo Street, which we leave on the
left to take Cantabria Street, from where we will start to see the first panoramic views of
the Vigo estuary. After leaving the Fuente da Pouleira behind us, we will continue along
the asphalt along the Camiño Pedrosa and the Camino da Traida das Augas. For just over
2 km we alternate between dirt and asphalt stretches until we pass by a small waterfall,
cross the road and go up a paved track.
Follow the
Km 14.1 ‧ Cedeira
We continue to the left where the school building is located and continue between the
houses of the Cruceiro neighbourhood. We take the path on the right, called Camiño das
Cardosas, and go down a steep slope, going under the railway tracks. We will reach the
N-550 and follow it to the right, advancing carefully along the roadside until a roundabout
welcomes us to the urban area of Redondela.
