The municipality of Guillena is located on the ancient Roman road Via de la Plata, it is thought that since ancient times it was an important place for the pilgrim.
In these lands have lived Romans, Visigoths, Moors and Christians, is a town with a lot of history and heritage since it is in a strategic point on the Roman route.

How to get there
The easiest way to get to Guillena is from Seville, they are separated by less than 30 km. The A-66 highway will take us direct since it communicates the city of Seville with Gijón and has an exit to Guillena.
There are also daily buses that connect both towns, specifically the M-177 line, being in the metropolitan area of Seville is very easy to reach by public transport.
Other options would be the A-4 highways to get from Cordoba, the A-5 and A-66 to get from Madrid or the national highway N-432 to get from Badajoz.

What to see
Cortijo Torre de la Reina
Declared a National Historic-Artistic Monument in 1977, this 13th century military tower belonged to Queen Maria de Molino, who acquired the property of Guillena after the Castilian conquest in 1247.

Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Granada
The temple of Nuestra Señora de la Granada is located in the Avenida de los Príncipes, in the municipality of Guillena. Erected in the early fifteenth century, this church stands out for its marked Gothic-Mudejar style, which we can clearly see in its rectangular floor plan and polygonal apse reinforced by buttresses.

Palacio Parladé
This palatial medieval castle and Mudejar style dates back to the nineteenth century. Its main purpose was to serve as a second residence for the Parladé family.
It is located in the wonderful enclave of the Sierra Norte de Sevilla, specifically, in the place where the well-known Serrano Lakes are located, in the reservoir of Cala.

Plaza de España
It is the main square of the town of Guillena, being present over the centuries of many events of vital social, political and festive character.
The Plaza de España was, until the sixties, the place chosen to hold the municipal fair and where most of the festivities of the area were held. Undoubtedly, it was and remains today the meeting place for all the people of Guillen.

Plaza de Toros (Antiguo Alcázar)
The bullring of Guillena has become one of the most appreciated and beautiful of the entire province of Seville. This is mainly due to its historical tradition and the place where it was built, on the parade ground of an ancient Muslim castle.
